KP Series

The KP series is the all-weather sensor for KM-Post* detection systems installed in railroad inspection/maintenance cars.

Product Overview

This sensor is installed at the bottom of a railroad inspection/maintenance car and generates the compensation signals for the system that detects the distance of the car.
When the sensor passes over KM-Post* (target), the sensor detects the target without contact and outputs a pulse signal.

* The KM-Post is a target installed between the rails every 1 kilometer.

Features

  • Applicable car speed is up to 120 km/h.
(Dedicated special sensor for Shinkansen bullet train is applicable to 300 km/h or higher.)
  • The sensor is an all-weather type, and high environmental resistance.
